Pediatrics

Well-child exams help monitor your child’s health during key stages of growth and development. Our pediatric team provides physical exams, developmental screenings, nutrition assessments and ensures vaccinations are up to date. Exams are scheduled regularly in the first two years and annually after age 3.

Our pediatricians will diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions, including injuries, infections, asthma, allergies, and weight concerns, and help parents understand how to manage delays in a child’s development. Our health education programs offer engaging activities that encourage healthy habits for children and families, such as fitness, nutrition, and gardening workshops. We support your child’s social and emotional development and behavioral needs, with referrals to trusted partners when necessary.

The WIC Program at NEVHC supports parents and young children by providing access to nutritious foods and promoting healthy habits. Our WIC educators and nutritionists partner with families to offer guidance on nutrition, breastfeeding and raising healthy children.

We offer same-day sick child visits for children experiencing symptoms related to colds, the flu, asthma, allergies, ear or throat pain, urinary symptoms and most other concerns. Our same-day appointments are also available for children with non-emergency injuries.

Pediatric patients can receive high-quality dental care at any of our dental centers in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys. At select health centers, we’ve integrated dental services directly into pediatric visits, allowing children to receive same-day oral health screenings. Our pediatric dentists also provide routine exams, cleanings, fillings and sealants to support lifelong oral health.
