Behind the summit

NEVHC’s Health & Policy Summit was inspired by NEVHC’s National Health Center Week HIV panel, which brought together experts and community advocates to examine how public policy shapes HIV prevention, treatment and long-term care. That conversation underscored the critical link between policy decisions and patient outcomes — and highlighted the need for broader dialogue across the healthcare landscape.

Non Discrimination Policy

NEVHC complies with applicable Federal civil rights laws and prohibits discrimination or exclusion based on race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex, or religion.

Family Planning Non-Discrimination: Family planning services are to be provided solely on a voluntary basis (Sections 1001 and 1007, PHS Act; 42 CFR 59.5 (a)(2)). Clients cannot be coerced to accept services or to use or not use any particular method of family planning (42 CFR 59.5 (a)(2) A client’s acceptance of family planning services must not be a prerequisite to eligibility for, or receipt of, any other services, assistance from, or participation in, any other program that is offered by the grantee or subrecipient (Section 1007, PHS Act; 42 CFR 59.5 (a)(2))

Accessibility Statement

NEVHC takes appropriate steps to ensure that persons and their families/caretakers who have disabilities have an equal opportunity to receive health care services, including participating in decisions about their care and receiving information in a manner they understand.

Persons with disabilities include those who have physical or mobility disabilities, are blind or visually impaired, are deaf or hard of hearing, exhibit speech impairments, are cognitively impaired, are developmentally impaired, or have a learning disability.

Every reasonable effort will be made to provide auxiliary aids and services without cost to the patient. NEVHC also offers free language interpretation services to non-English speakers and hearing impaired.
