Before your baby is born, make an appointment with a NEVHC Lactation Consultant . She will answer your questions and prepare you to feed your newborn.
Once your baby is born, call the clinic to make your baby’s first appointment. You will also be given an appointment with the Lactation Consultant to ensure that your baby is feeding well. She can help with breastfeeding. The lactation consultant is working with your pediatrician to answer any newborn questions you may have.
NEVHC supports breastfeeding as the best choice for your baby. Compared to the mother’s breast milk, formula is missing many properties that babies need to be strong, healthy and smart.
