2021 Holiday Drive-Thru Toy Giveaways!
NEVHC and volunteers hosted their annual Holiday Drive-Thru Toy Giveaways this month! NEVHC patients with children ages newborn to 10 years old signed up to attend this socially distanced toy drive to receive a new, age-appropriate toy, light refreshments and a greeting from Santa Claus! The toy giveaways were hosted at four of our health centers – Santa Clarita Health Center, San Fernando Health Center, Van Nuys Pediatrics and Canoga Park Health Center and distributed nearly 900 toys!
NEVHC Service Spotlight: CalFresh: Produce Distribution Events
The NEVHC CalFresh Healthy Living team has addressed food insecurity for years in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they increased their food drives from once a month to four times a month. For each giveaway, 80 families are given 25 pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables, recipe books, health education materials and community resource information. How To: Sign Up for Health Coverage
Open enrollment for 2022 began Monday, November 1, 2021 and will end January 15, 2022. NEVHC has a team of dedicated enrollment counselors that will assist you in every step of the way to getting health coverage. The enrollment counselors will compare health plan options with you to ensure that you have the best price, health benefits and access to doctors and pharmacies. Next, the enrollment counselors will help you sign up for or renew the health plan that meets your current health and financial needs. To speak to an enrollment counselor, please call 866- 696-3842.
