Dear NEVHC Patient,
Thank you for welcoming 2022 with Northeast Valley Health Corporation (NEVHC) as your healthcare provider. Your well-being continues to be our number one priority and we are committed to ensuring that you, our visitors and staff remain safe. We kindly ask that you read this important update regarding NEVHC guidelines during the current COVID-19 omicron surge.
COVID-19 testing and phone lines: Omicron surge may cause delays
As the highly contagious omicron variant is quickly spreading in Los Angeles County, there is a high demand for appointments and COVID-19 testing at NEVHC. Unfortunately, there may be longer than usual wait times for our appointment phone lines, and limited COVID-19 testing appointments as we have a limited number of test kits available. If you need a test and are unable to make a testing appointment with NEVHC, please visit https://covid19.lacounty.gov/testing or https://www.coreresponse.org/covid-19/los-angeles#events.
Boosters
Getting the COVID-19 vaccines, and a booster dose when you’re eligible, are the best protection for yourself, your family and community. Boosters are authorized for people 12 years of age and older. Please review appropriate timing for your booster:
· Pfizer-BioNTech: Six months after your second vaccine dose
· Moderna: Six months after your second vaccine dose
· Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen: Two months after your vaccine
Initial vaccine series and boosters are available with NEVHC or at multiple locations throughout Los Angeles County. If you are unable to schedule with NEVHC, please visit https://myturn.ca.gov/ to schedule.
Patient/Visitor Policies
· Mask policy: When visiting an NEVHC health center, all patients and visitors are required to wear surgical masks, cloth masks will no longer be accepted. If you do not have a surgical mask when arriving at a health center, a staff member will provide one to you.
· Visitor policy: For the safety of patients and staff, we are limiting the number of visitors to our health centers. If you need to bring someone with you to your appointment, please limit it to one visitor. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
· Appointment cancellation: If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please call to cancel the appointment so we may offer that appointment to another patient in need of care. With a high demand for appointments, every available appointment is valuable.
Thank you for your understanding and taking the time to read these updates to help keep our community safe. Please continue to follow social distancing and mask guidelines, and receive your COVID-19 vaccines and booster if eligible. We are confident our NEVHC family of patients and staff will get through this safely. Thank you for trusting us with your care.
Sincerely,
Northeast Valley Health Corporation
