What if I don’t have medical insurance?

Northeast Valley Health Corporation offers several low cost or no cost programs and a sliding fee scale for individuals and families with limited income. Eligibility is based on family income and family size. Certified Enrollment Counselors are available at our health centers to help you apply for Medi-Cal, Covered California, or other health insurance programs. NEVHC also offers enroll-ment assistance into special-need plans for individuals who have both Medicare and Medi-Cal. Medicare only HMO plans are also available.

Some of the benefits to having health insurance include:

  • Health, dental and vision coverage
  • Expanded health coverage
  • Increased access to medical services (primary and preventive health care)
  • Hospital inpatient coverage
  • Connection with specialty care and ancillary services
  • Reduced visits to emergency rooms and hospitals for common treatment

Our programs and services impact the health of those we serve. Through our programs and services, preventable diseases are drastically reduced; the worry homeless individuals and families have about where they can receive health care is no longer necessary; and the struggle to provide a family with healthy foods is reduced.

Our patients can learn more about the primary and preventive care available to them, health coverage plans, payment options and our health centers, along with the specific programs we offer to support overall well-being.

Northeast Valley Health Corporation has trained staff to help you apply for Medi-Cal, Healthy Kids, and Covered California programs. Below is information on how you and your family may qualify.

To apply for programs listed below, please ask to speak with the “Consumer Relations” staff in the Business Office of your health center or call 1-866-MY-NEVHC (1-866-696-3842).
