Support Community Health Center Funding!

This week we are joining community health centers (CHCs) across the country for a week of action in support of CHC infrastructure and workforce funding.  Members of Congress are expected to vote on the provisions that will be included in the Build Back Better Act budget reconciliation bill. We need your help to continue urging our Members of Congress to support the inclusion of $10 billion for CHC infrastructure funding and $6.3 billion for primary workforce funding in their final budget reconciliation bill.

Increased investments in CHC infrastructure and primary care workforce funding would allow us to:

• Modernize our Canoga Park health center, which would allow us to expand our primary and preventive health care services to meet the growing demand in the West San Fernando Valley.

• Expand our services offered at our Rainbow Dental Center to help meet our community’s increased demand for oral health services in the Santa Clarita Valley.

• Hire additional providers to continue and expand our innovative services such as our clinical pharmacy program, which helps tailor medication to our patients’ individual needs, and our Medication Assisted Treatment, which combines the use of medication, counseling and behavioral therapies for the treatment of substance use disorders.

There’s too much on the line and no time to wait to take action. Send an e-mail to your Member of Congress to urge them to support $10 billion for CHC infrastructure and $6.3 billion for primary care workforce investments today!
