Take action in support of the Build Back Better Act!

The U.S. House of Representatives passed their version of the $1.75 trillion Build Back Better Act (BBB) in November and sent the bill to the U.S Senate for a vote. The Senate is expected to make changes to the BBB which may reduce the amount of spending for certain provisions such as child tax credits, climate protections and healthcare. We need your help to urge our U.S. Senators to vote in favor of the BBB and provisions that support our patients and staff.

Some of the provisions in the BBB which support CHCs include:

· $2 billion in capital infrastructure funding for CHCs, which would help us expand and modernize our health centers allowing us to meet the growing need for care.

· $5.87 billion for primary care workforce development programs. These funds would allow us to hire additional providers and increase our innovative services such as our Medication Assisted Treatment which combines the use of medication, counseling and behavioral therapies for the treatment of substance use disorders.

The Build Back Better Act will ensure that we have the infrastructure and workforce needed to bolster our healthcare services, as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. Send an e-mail to our U.S. Senators and urge them to pass the Build Back Better Act today!
