Mr. Reed brings nearly two decades of leadership experience to NEVHC. His career began with strategic planning and new product development for Fortune 500 companies. He has since dedicated himself to healthcare, holding various leadership positions within a hospital system, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at a community health center in Washington State.
“I look forward to continuing the legacy Kim Wyard and the NEVHC team has created. NEVHC is known as a leader in the healthcare industry, delivering high quality care and community impact. I look forward to working alongside our teams to continue innovating and enhancing the well-being of those we serve.” - Christopher Reed

We expanded the size of our Santa Clarita Health Center (SCHC) to reach more community members in need. The SCHC increased by 6 exam rooms and added new counseling offices, a new nursing station and a laboratory drawing station. With the expanded space, the SCHC is expected to serve 7,000 new patients in the Santa Clarita and surrounding communities.

Northeast Valley Health Corporation was incorporated in 1971 by a group of San Fernando Valley civic leaders who envisioned establishing a healthcare system that catered to the medical needs of the local community. They opened San Fernando Health Center in 1973 and celebrated its dedication with the late U.S. Senator Ted. Kennedy. Today, NEVHC has grown to 14 health centers in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys and continue to serve the uninsured and the medically underserved patients with limited financial resources. Nearly 70,000 patients receive medical, dental and behavioral health care at our health centers every year. NEVHC, one of the nation’s largest community health centers, is a nonprofit Joint Commission accredited Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
