As NEVHC celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, we reflected on the journey and dedication of those who have helped us build the NEVHC Legacy.
This October, we began a new tradition of convening stakeholders, partners, funders, and staff to recognize those who have helped us advance our mission. For the inaugural NEVHC’s CEO Luncheon, we recognized our very own, Chief Executive Officer Kimberly Wyard who celebrated 50 years at NEVHC! All proceeds from the luncheon will support NEVHC’s healthcare site expansion in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys.

Kimberly Wyard serves as Chief Executive Officer of Northeast Valley Health Corporation, a position she has held since 1996. A native San Fernando Valley resident, Ms. Wyard joined NEVHC in 1974, marking 50 years of service. Under her leadership, NEVHC has expanded to 18 total health centers that provide over 400,000 medical visits to 82,000 patients annually.
Committed to improving community health, Ms. Wyard has helped NEVHC achieve significant milestones throughout her career. Most recently, in 2021, NEVHC was recognized as a Health Hero by the Fernando Awards, inducted into the Valley Industry Association Hall of Fame, and in 2022, recognized as a Captain of Industry by the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce. In 2024, Ms. Wyard received the Lifetime Achieve Award from the National Association of Community Health Centers for her dedication and contributions to the Community Health Center Movement.
Ms. Wyard continues to drive transformative change, ensuring that NEVHC remains at the forefront of providing accessible and high-quality healthcare to the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys.

Northeast Valley Health Corporation was incorporated in 1971 by a group of San Fernando Valley civic leaders who envisioned establishing a healthcare system that catered to the medical needs of the local community. They opened San Fernando Health Center in 1973 and celebrated its dedication with the late U.S. Senator Ted. Kennedy. Today, NEVHC has grown to 14 health centers in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys and continue to serve the uninsured and the medically underserved patients with limited financial resources. Nearly 70,000 patients receive medical, dental and behavioral health care at our health centers every year. NEVHC, one of the nation’s largest community health centers, is a nonprofit Joint Commission accredited Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
