NEVHC Appoints New Chief Executive officer

Christopher Reed

Northeast Valley Health Corporation’s (NEVHC) Board of Directors has appointed Christopher Reed as the next Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Reed brings nearly two decades of leadership experience to NEVHC. His career began with strategic planning and new product development for Fortune 500 companies.  He has since dedicated himself to healthcare, holding various leadership positions within a hospital system, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at a community health center in Washington State.

Known as a collaborative leader, Mr. Reed emphasizes maintaining a positive organizational culture, fostering innovation and cultivating relationships. While the past several years has introduced new financial challenges and transformed the ways we deliver healthcare, he has successfully guided organizations through such obstacles and achieved system growth.

Mr. Reed’s extensive experience in healthcare operations, combined with his collaborative leadership approach, positions NEVHC to build upon its strong foundation while embracing future opportunities to serve our community.

“I look forward to continuing the legacy Kim Wyard and the NEVHC team has created,” said Mr. Reed. “NEVHC is known as a leader in the healthcare industry, delivering high quality care and community impact. I look forward to working alongside our teams to continue innovating and enhancing the well-being of those we serve.”

A Message From

Kimberly Wyard

When I started, NEVHC had recently opened the San Fernando Health Center in August 1973, and the Pacoima Health Center was still an empty lot, set to open in 1975. As a Public Relations Intern, I traveled between our centers, capturing photos, writing stories and editing newsletters. I vividly remember the San Fernando Health Center—a 10,000-square-foot, single-story building with an L-shaped parking lot. The staff would point to the adjacent vacant lot and say, “That’s where our new wing will be.” Even then, NEVHC dreamed big.

Looking back, I have come to appreciate the incredible resilience it takes to sustain an organization for over five decades. NEVHC has weathered elections, policy changes, financial crises, budget cuts, earthquakes and even a pandemic. Through it all, we learned, adapted, and continued to move forward, thanks to the dedication and collaboration of so many.

NEVHC has been and always will be close to my heart. I am deeply grateful for our providers, staff and leadership team, who dedicate themselves to serving our communities. It has been my honor to serve as your CEO since 1996.

I feel a great sense of confidence knowing Christopher will lead NEVHC into its next chapter. His vision and commitment to our mission assure me that NEVHC’s future is bright. I look forward to seeing the organization continue to flourish under his leadership.
