Take Action in Support of Community Health Center Funding

Members of Congress have begun to work on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 Appropriations. During the Federal Appropriations process, the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committees hold hearings to create appropriations bills to fund the federal government. The appropriations bills must pass the House and Senate and then be signed by the President. We need your help to urge our Members of Congress to support $1.8 billion in discretionary funding for Community Health Centers (CHCs) in the FY23 appropriations bill.   Increased discretionary funding will allow us to: · Hire additional culturally diverse providers to continue providing high quality care to our patients as COVID-19 cases continue to persist. · Invest in care coordination and innovative...

Take action in support of NEVHC’s 340B Drug Discount Program!

Governor Gavin Newsom released his fiscal year (FY) 2022-23 proposed state budget in January. The Governor’s budget proposal makes significant investments to healthcare initiatives such as: COVID-19 Response and Recovery, workforce investment programs and the expansion of Medi-Cal for all income eligible adults, regardless of their immigration status. We need your help to send a message to Governor Newsom urging him to augment the 340B Drug Discount Programs’ Supplemental Payment Pool (SPP) fund by $50 million, using state budget funds which will be matched by the federal government.   Governor Newsom’s Executive Order (N-01-19) transitioned all pharmacy services from Medi-Cal Managed Care to Fee-For-Service.
